One of the ideas broached at the AGM was to invite a titled player to give a simultaneous display at the start of next season (I guess this would be Aug./Sept. some time). Such an event is a great curtain-raiser for a new season and gives players who might not otherwise have the opportunity the chance to pit their wits against one of the country's leading players. Juniors would also find it a memorable occasion.
If you'd be interested in playing in such a simul, and if you know of any juniors who might not read the noticeboard who would be, could you add a post? That way I can judge response and think about whom to approach!
