Paying to get rid of it is extortion in my opinion and should not be encouraged. Whats to say it can not happen again after you have paid the initial ransom.

I would rather see the money spent on Chess Scotland Affiliation.
Then we could (going back to your previous message) have a proper Club Championships with GRADED games.

It seems now some will rob you with an advertising strip.
Can any of our Computer wizz kids in the club show me how to insert these advertising strips?
We could use the proceeds to boost club funds (honest Twisted Evil )

not robbery as no guns involved and volitional. Countless hrs go into develping free software such as this so i wouldn't begrudge $10. Thanks to Ronnie for setting it all up free gratis as well -the forums are quite entertaining at times - albeit in the public eye lol
