Hi everyone, I would just like to share the fact that Sarah won a bronze medal at the Scottish Junior Chess, Chess for Kicks tournament held at Hamilton on Sat 21/04/07. She was awarded the medal for scoring 3.5 from 7 games. I'm delighted for her as it is only her second competative event and she is still only nine years old. Bearing in mind that I was 40 before I ever won anything. I hope that this is the start of a very successful Chess future. Watch out lads she wil be after your Glasgow League places before you know it.(mind you I would probably be the first person who she would displace.
PS She was playing in the Primary five and under section.

Sarah is the older sister so i think it is Susan Polgar if any comparisons are to be made. we will see whether a fondness for rook sacrafices etc. emerge in her game
