We crawled over the finishing line last night against Hamilton "B".
Here are the details.
Bd1 B Ian Marks............1877......0-1.........Donald Scott.....1424
Bd2 W Jack Parkes.........1666.....Draw.........Jim Frame........1291
Bd3 B David Johnstone...1664......1-0.......Alex Finnie.........1003
Bd4 W George Thomson...1543.....1-0.....Bill Perrie..............878
-----------------Cumbernauld........2.5-1.5......Hamilton "B"--------
Ian, strange but true, your opponent last night was the guy who last year I was thrashing and suddenly I found the only losing move possible when every other move would have won.
Perhaps he was using the same bewitchment tactics that Korchnoi was once accused of??? |

George,
I have my own thoughts on certain aspects of last night's game, but I am keeping them to myself.
Thank you for winning your game and sparing my blushes |

They would not be related to the arrival of a pretty young blonde into the playing arena by any chance??? |
