MONDAY 7 SEPTEMBER - A DATE FOR YOUR DIARY
I am delighted to announce that our start of season simul will be given on Monday 7 September by Scotland’s latest GM, Keti Arakhamia-Grant. This will be the perfect opportunity for you to cross swords with one of the top women players in the world and multiple winner of the British Women’s Championship. The board fee will be a very reasonable £5 for adults and £1 for juniors, and I urge as many of you as possible to take part.
I would expect demand to be high, but space and time considerations mean that we have to restrict numbers to about 16 boards, so it will be a case of first come, first served.
Please indicate by replying on this thread whether you are interested in playing. If numbers exceed 16, a reserve list will be drawn up.
Anticipated starting time 7.00, slightly earlier than a normal club night to maximise playing time.
