W Sreeves, Clement 1733 0.5 - 0.5 Ian Marks 1918
B Aird, Ian 1922 0 - 1 Jack Parkes 1642
W Wright, Alex 1735 1 - 0 David Bonella 1620
B Tait, Thomas 1644 0 - 1 David Johnstone 1610

We headed out to Dalmuir in search of a bit of chess action. Jack won with nice some measured endgame play. My win was more of a scramble but it was nice to come out on top. Ian got that important half against young Clem in an English. The win leaves us in pole position in the league with all to play for in our final 3 games.

Good result last night guys fine win for Mr Parkes over Ian Aird.
It would be excellent if you could go out and win this league.

Hi David I thought that you might be interested in the fact that your opponent Thomas Tait recently managed to defeat Grand Master Jacob Aagard BRITISH CHAMPION when they clashed when Mr Aagard gave a Simultaneous display at Bearsden recently.
Mr Aagard even very kindly allowed him to be photographed with the British Championship Trophy.
