I'm delighted to say that of the six Cumbernauld players who entered the Chess for Kicks in Kirkhill Primary School Newton Mearns, four were in the prizes.
James Craig for scoring 3.5 from 7 in the P5 and under.
Jamie Marron for scoring 3.5 from 7 in the P5 and under.
Sarah M Thomson for scoring 3.5 from 7 in the P6+7 which means that she is playing her P6 peers and P7 opponents as well.
John Craig for scoring 4.5 from 7 and winning best Secondry3 prize.
John was unlucky not to win the event outright.
I'm sure that you will agree that four prizes out of six is an excellent ratio.
WELL DONE ALL OF YOU!!!
